What: Tree Walk: Trees in Transition and Winter Identification

Where: Charles Town, meet in front of the Charles Town Public Library

When: 10:00 AM

Trip Leader: Shawn Walker

Cost: Free, however registration is required

Join local arborist and Master Naturalist Shawn Walker for a late fall walk among Charles Town’s diverse tree population. Evergreen identification will be highlighted as will methods of recognizing deciduous trees through their fall characteristics, bark, twigs and other distinctive features. 

In keeping with Shawn’s tree walk tradition, the event will culminate with a tree height guessing contest.

Please dress for the weather and bring drinking water. 

The Tree Walk will take place rain or shine but will cancel if severe. We will be walking mostly on Charles Town's sidewalks. Children welcomed with guardians.

The tree walk is free however registration is necessary.  
Meet at the Old Charles Town Library at 10:00 AM on Saturday November 22.
