PVAS Leader: Shawn Walker, Certified Arborist, Licensed Tree Expert and Certified Master Naturalist

Join our local Master Naturalist and Tree Expert, Shawn Walker for a volunteer day at Morgan's Grove Park.

Shawn will lead the volunteers, through example and general instruction, as we work to control and sever the invasive vines that are weighing down or girdling the trees at the park.

Please feel free to bring your own tools, such as loppers, saws, pruners, gloves and safety glasses if you have them. Otherwise, there will be plenty of tools available for the volunteers.

While this is a volunteer event, there will be lots of opportunity to learn about the trees and this easy yet highly impactful way that we can nurture trees competing with invasives in natural areas.

This event is open to everyone with an interest however young children must be supervised.

Please dress for the weather, wear work shoes and clothes and bring work gloves if you have them.

Registration is strongly encouraged in order to help with the planning of the event.

Please meet at the lower parking lot near the railroad tracks at 10:00 a.m.
