Join in the celebration of International Migratory Bird Day with a Bird Walk in Western Berkeley Count.

Local bird expert, Bob Dean, will be leading this bird walk.

This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome regardless of their birding skills, however registration is strongly encouraged.

Participants should meet at the Food Lion on Route 9 just east of Hedgesville. From there, participants will carpool to either Sleepy Creek or Bob's saw-whet owl banding area. The venue will be decided prior to departing the Food Lion parking lot.

Participants should dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and bring along drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen. There will be some walking involved with some moderate inclines.

Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.

For more information, please feel free to contact trip leader Bob Dean at bobdean52@gmail.com or Krista Hawley at adultprograms@potomacaudubon.org or 703-303-1026.
