Join Deb Hale for a bird walk at 7:00 a.m. outside John Brown's Fort, where Potomac and Shenandoah Streets meet in Harpers Ferry National Park. Parking is available along Potomac Street near the train station. 

The walk will cover about 4 miles of level terrain along the towpath. Possible species to be sighted include raptors, woodpeckers, vireos, warblers and orioles as well as other nesting summer residents.

This bird walk is free and open to the public, however registration is strongly encouraged. Anyone with an interest is welcome to come along, regardless of their birding skills. Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them. Children are welcome.

Participants should wear sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for prevailing weather conditions, and bring along water and bug spray.
