Join the Potomac Valley Audubon Society on Wednesday October 14th at 7:00 PM for our regular monthly program.

Matthew Patterson from the National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) will be presenting on Freshwater Mussels. 

Mr. Patterson will entice us with amazing photos and videos while educating us on the conservation status and life history of mussels, name their co-evolution with freshwater fish and discuss the mussel fauna of the Potomac River. 

As a Course Leader at NCTC, Matthew teachers a wide array of Fisheries courses including Conservation Biology of Freshwater Mussels, Introduction to Fish Health, Fish Identification and numerous others.

Admission is free, no registration is needed and everyone is welcome to attend.

From WV Route 9, take the Short Road exit. If traveling east, take a left off the exit. If traveling west, take a right off the exit. Follow to the stop light at Sheetz.  Turn right. Take the next left across from Food Lion onto Hospice Lane. Follow the road back.

The office will be on your left (the inpatient will be on your right). The door to enter for the PVAS Program is to the right of the main office door. We will have a sign on the door.
