Join the Potomac Valley Audubon Society on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00 PM for our regular monthly program.

Kevin Dodge, professor and naturalist, will be demonstrating and discussing the nocturnal sounds typically heard in this region.

Mr. Dodge provides "an entertaining guide to the different hoots, toots, peents, and peeps heard at night in the western Maryland mountains.  Kevin will weave together facts, stories, and sounds to recreate a night in the Alleghenies”.

This program is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Dodge is a Professor of Wildlife and Biology at Garrett College in western Maryland, where he has taught since 1987. He is also Director of the College's Natural Resources and Wildlife Technology program.

In addition to his teaching and research work at the College, Dodge is actively involved in natural resource issues in Garrett County and the surrounding area. He is chair of the Savage River State Forest Citizens’ Advisory Board, president of the Allegheny Highlands Conservancy (a local land trust), and a board member of the Youghiogheny River Watershed Association.

He is also a frequent local consultant to The Nature Conservancy, and leads numerous hikes and conducts programs for that organization and state parks and forests.
