Time: meet at 8:00 a.m.

Trip Leader: Deb Hale

Join Deb Hale as she heads to the C&O Canal for a morning bird walk. 

Participants should meet at John Brown's Fort at the corner of Potomac & Shenandoah Streets in Harpers Ferry at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30. The group will walk from there to the C&O Canal. 

Registration is strongly encouraged, however there is no fee and anyone with an interest is welcome to come along, regardless of their birding skills. Children will be welcome.

The walk will involve about 2 - 3 miles of level walking along the towpath.

Species likely to be sighted include bald eagles, red-tailed hawks, vultures, waterfowl, woodpeckers, kinglets, yellow-rumped warblers, winter wrens, brown creepers and others.

Participants should bring water and dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions. 

The trip will be canceled in the case of severe weather.

The Society will provide binoculars for those who do not have their own.
