Join Deb Hale on a spring bird walk at Harper's Ferry National Park.

Deb's walk will take place in the Bolivar Heights section of the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park on Wednesday, April 27th.

The trip will begin at 7:00 AM and last two hours. 

The event is free and open to anyone with an interest. Children will be welcome. Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.

Registration is strongly encouraged.

Participants will meet at the Bolivar Heights parking area. 

Directions: from the Route 340 traffic light at the entrance to the National Park, turn north onto Washington Street and follow it for about 1/4 mile, then turn north again (left) onto Whitman Avenue; the parking area is at the top of the hill.

The Bird Walk will walk the whole section of Bolivar Heights ridge looking and listening for spring warblers and other migrating birds and new arrivals.

Participants should wear sturdy footwear, dress appropriately for prevailing weather conditions, and bring along water and insect repellent.
