The Potomac Valley Audubon Society is co-sponsoring a "Mini-ID Workshop on Butterflies, Pollinators and Butterfly Garden Plants” at Kiwanis Park, Hagerstown, on Saturday, August 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The City of Hagerstown, in partnership with The Monarch Alliance, planted a beautiful Monarch Waystation at the City of Hagerstown’s newest park.  The waystation was planted with Monarchs and pollinators in mind and the rest of the park has other native plants and shrubs including Common Milkweed.  Monarch eggs have been reported in the park.

Come and learn how to identify the butterflies, bees and other pollinators in the waystation and park, and tips on the best plants to put into your waystation or butterfly garden.

The event is free and children and families are welcome.  Registration is not required.

Kiwanis Park is located at 371 Dynasty Drive (enter parking lot off Imperial Drive)
