What:  Day of Caring (work day) at Yankauer Nature Preserve or Stauffer's Marsh  (sponsored by United Way of the Eastern Panhandle)

When: Tuesday, September 13, 2016

Times:

Yankauer: 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.,

Stauffer's Marsh: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

We welcome you whether you can help for a few hours or all day!

Who: You!  Anyone who is interested in helping PVAS freshen up their nature preserves. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join other volunteers in sprucing up two of PVAS's properties.  Whether your special place is in the woods at Yankauer or the serenity of Stauffer's Marsh, we can use your help!

Volunteers will be doing an array of work projects including removing invasive plants, clearing and maintaining trails, spreading mulch, planting trees, weeding butterfly gardens, and more. If you have energy and interest we have a task for you!

Lunch and a t-shirt are provided for volunteers. Please bring a refillable water bottle as we have extra water for refills during the day.  Gloves and tools are available, but you are welcome to bring your own. (Just please make sure they are marked with your name.)

All volunteers are required to sign a United Way waiver which will be sent to you by email.
