Where: Cool Spring Preserve, 1469 Lloyd Road (about 6 miles southwest of Charles Town)

Love to bird but don't like the early mornings? Then this bird walk is for you!

Join Joette Borzik on this Bird Walk for Late Risers at PVAS's new Cool Spring Preserve.  

The trails at Cool Spring preserve have a lot to offer! From well maintained foot paths to gorgeous views, the preserve's 12 acres is home to much wildlife. 

Meet Joette in the parking lot of Cool Spring Preserve at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3rd. 

Possible birds to be seen include local common winter bird species of Sparrows, Finches,Woodpeckers, Brown Creeper, Tufted Titmouse, Nuthatches and year-long resident birds. 

This bird walk is free and open to bird watchers of all levels including those that have never been on a PVAS bird walk. 

Bring your binoculars if you have them but some will be available.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.

Participants should wear sturdy footwear, dress for the prevailing weather conditions, and bring along drinking water.

Please note that it is hunting season and always a good idea to wear hunter orange when out in the woods!

The trails are rolling and the walk will be about 1.5 miles. 

The trip may be canceled or postponed if weather conditions are poor.
