Join the Potomac Valley Audubon Society on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 AM for this public program. 

Dr. Larry Stitch, retired U.S. Forest Service national botanist, will present a program on Bee Basics: An Introduction to our Native Bees.

This program is free and everyone is welcome to attend. 

Prior to this program, the Potomac Valley Master Naturalists will be holding their Annual Open House. This Open House is for anyone interested in learning about the Master Naturalist Program. All are welcome. 

Larry Stitch recently retired from the U.S. Forest Service where he worked as a botanist for 30 years. He is an expert in native plant identification, propagation, and gardening with native plants. He is also an expert in pollination ecology and recently served as staff to President Obama's Pollinator Health Task Force where he helped author the National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Beens and Other Pollinators and Pollinator Friendly Best Management Practices for Federal Lands. In addition, he has served on the Federal Interagency Monarch High Level Working Group. 

Admission is free, no registration is needed and everyone is welcome to attend.

Morgan County Board of Education Office Building, 247 Harrison Avenue, Berkeley Springs, WV

If traveling on Hwy 522, turn onto Williams Street (at the Train Station/H&R Block corner), then turn left off of Williams St. onto Harrison Avenue. The Board Office is located on the corner of Harrison Avenue and Goff Street. 

There are a few parking spaces in the front of the building and a larger parking area around the back of the building (follow Goff St. to the back).

You will enter the building from the front. We will have an Audubon sign pointing you in the correct direction as well as on the door.
