Join Joette Borzik for an autumn work day in the wildflower fields at Briggs Animal Adoption Center. Briggs has been working to establish high quality wildflower fields for native pollinator habitat. While this project has been successful, it still needs annual maintenance to ensure quality species composition.

This event will focus on seed collection and invasive plant removal from the pollinator meadows. Joette Borzik, a very knowledgable naturalist and monarch enthusiast, will provide directions and support for participants.

Please bring your favorite garden tools (spade, shovels, pruners, gloves) as there are limited extras. Also please bring a water bottle and clothes you can work in.

For questions or to RSVP, please contact Joette Borzik at

Master Naturalists who participate will received volunteer credit hours for their attendance.
