Join us for this unique opportunity to celebrate and discuss ways that we can weave together the natural relationship of art and nature.

PVAS is excited about the great interest of many of our community members in the concept of Art Inspired by Nature and is looking to move forward with the goal of providing opportunities to connect them.

We are offering this informal gathering at Cool Spring Preserve as a 'starting block' to the Art Inspired by Nature concept.

Join us for an evening of hot cider/tea and light snacks, sharing of ideas, planning, sketching and celebrating art and nature.

If you choose, please bring along:

  • A piece of what art means to you...bring along a piece of your art (poem, photo, song, dance, sketch, pottery, painting, etc)
  • A natural object to add to a still life that you will have the opportunity to draw
  • Sketch book or paper and pencil (we will provide it you don't have)
  • Your IDEAS (how can we grow, how can we serve, how would you like to be involved, etc)

Doug Pifer will lead a drawing session highlighting the community still life. Joy Bridy will lead a discussion on how we can grow and serve the community.

Registration is requested in order to help with the planning.

Please contact Krista Hawley at or 703-303-1026 with any questions you may have.
