PVAS Nature Book Lovers Discussion Group

  • Wednesday, December 06, 2017
  • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • The Daily Grind, Martinsburg (Foxcroft Ave.)

What: PVAS Nature Book Lovers Discussion Group

Who: Anyone with an interest in reading and discussing natural history. No registration is required and it's free!

When: Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 2:00 p.m.

Where: The Daily Grind in Martinburg (on Foxcroft Ave, near Outback). We have reserved their meeting room.

Join other adults who enjoy reading and discussing books about natural history.  Each month the group gathers to discuss a different book or natural history subject.

Since it is December , our next meeting will focus on gifts!   Choose a book of your choice that reflects how nature is a gift to you or a gift that you would like to share with others.  (For instance, Rachel Carson saw the sea as a gift and wrote an entire book about it!)  Group members are welcome to choose fiction or non-fiction, poetry, or something for young readers.  We know you can find something interesting to read and share!  (If you don't get your book selection finished, come to the discussion anyway!)

As a special treat this month, everyone is invited to bring a wrapped book that they would like to share with other group members.  Perhaps it is a nature themed book you read this year and are ready to pass on or there might be something sitting on your shelf that just needs a new home.  Don't buy anything!
