Price:  $8 per child. (No charge for adults)

Ages:  Ages 5-7

(A session for  8 - 10 year olds is offered simultaneously. Please register for this separately: Homeschool Adventures: (Ages 8-10) Edible Plants )

In this program we will be eating cattail and making root beer out of sassafras roots. If your child has any food allergies please contact the instructor. 

The program will be science-based and includes exploring, observing, discovering, and reflecting on a specific nature-based theme. Part of the program will be held outdoors, so please dress for the weather.

Registration information

  • Pre-registration for this program is required.
  •  A minimum of 6 per session is needed to conduct the program.
  • Fees are refundable if the program is cancelled by instructor or cancelled by parent more than one week in advance.

If inclement weather is in the forecast, you will be notified by e-mail either the day before the program or by 8:30 am on the day of the program.
