Join in the celebration of International Migratory Bird Day with a Bird and Nature Walk at Stauffer's Marsh.

Enjoy a morning with nature at Stauffer's Marsh where flora and fauna abound. Birds expected to be seen include, but not limited to, spring warblers, yellow warblers, bluebirds, orchard orioles and baltimore orioles.  Spring flowers will also be a highlight.

This event is open to the public and everyone is welcome regardless of their birding skills, however registration is strongly encouraged.

Participants should meet in the parking area at the north end of the Marsh.  The Preserve is located in Back Creek Valley, one-half mile south of Shanghai, on the east side of Back Creek Valley Road
(County Route 7).

The preserve is only 46 acres in size, so the distances to be walked are not great.  However, the terrain will include wet meadows and marshlands, as well as dry areas, so waterproof footwear is strongly recommended.

Participants should dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and bring along drinking water. Because ticks can be a problem at the Marsh, bug spray is recommended.

Binoculars will be available for anyone who needs them.
