Price:  $16 per child. (No charge for adults)

Age: This program is geared towards children in grades 3-5

Session 1:

In this lesson we will learn about the different states of water and the water cycle.  We will then learn about watersheds and helps students understand the small scale to the large scale concept of a watershed.  Importantly, we will emphasize the idea that even though students may not live right next to a body of water, everyone impacts the wider watershed; the Chesapeake Bay.

This session will be indoors.

Session 2:

This lesson introduces erosion and then makes the connection between one component of the water cycle (run off) and erosion.  We will then spend the rest of the program outside, at the creek, learning how to test water quality and learning about the invertebrates that live in the water.

This session contains an indoor and outdoor component. Please wear clothes and shoes that you can wear in the creek, an extra change of clothes and a towel.
