Natural History Workshop: Tree Nurturing

Practice winter tree care at Morgans Grove Park with local arborist Shawn Walker.  

The March 23 session will start with an overview of pruning concepts and techniques.  The participants will then put their pruning skills and other cultural practices to work on recent riparian plantings and some larger specimen trees.

The workshop should last about two hours and the cost is $10 per participant.  

Morgan Grove Park is located just outside Shepherdstown at the corner of Hwy 480 and Morgan Grove Road.  
Meet at the lower parking lot (enter from Morgan Grove Road) near the railroad tracks/soccer fields at Morgan Grove Park, Shepherdstown.

Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable working clothes and bring water/snack.

Pruning supplies will be provided but please feel free to bring your own.
