Where: Place change!  Flowing Springs Park, next to Home Depot, Ranson WV

Explore a stream up close and personal, then wander in the shade surrounding it. Wade in the water, splash around, turn over the rocks and look for critters hiding there, follow the dragonflies, listen to the birds, watch the clouds floating overhead.  River shoes or old tennis shoes are recommended.   Bring a snack for mid-morning. 

Park at the Water Treatment Plant on Flowing Springs Road (just before the railroad track close to the race track).

Outdoor Explore!  is designed to encourage families to explore nature through unstructured, but supervised, exploration and play in a variety of settings and habitats around the Eastern Panhandle.  For more information, contact Jan Hummer at janhummer@hotmail.com or 304-839-5128.
