Celebrate IMBD! Bird Walk at Eidolon Preserve

  • Eidolon Nature Preserve, Morgan Co. WV
Join in the celebration of International Migratory Bird Day with a Bird Walk at Eidolon Preserve in Morgan County on Sunday, May 4.

The walk will begin at 7:30 AM. The Bird Walk is free and open to the public.  Anyone with an interest is invited to attend and no pre-registration is required.

The walk will be lead by local birders Jon Boone and Janet Ardam.

This is an excellent opportunity to get a good look at a variety of migrating and year round birds before trees are in full foliage.

In particular, it will offer a chance to see the rare Cerulean Warbler, a species of concern that can be found in considerable numbers at Eidolon at this time of year.

Participants should wear sturdy walking shoes or boots, dress appropriately for the prevailing weather and bring water and bug spray.

For more information and directions to the preserve, contact the Nature Niche store in Berkeley Springs at 304-258-0992 or natureniche@earthlink.net.
