Harpers Ferry Bird Walk

Join Deb Hale on a birding trip along Virginius Island and the Harpers Ferry Wetlands on Wednesday 
June 4 at 7:00 a.m.

Participants should meet at 7:00 a.m. in the parking area on Shenandoah Street just below the intersection with Route 340.

The bird walk is free and anyone with an interest is encouraged to join regardless of birding skills. Children are welcome.

The walk will focus on the riverfront and old canal areas of Virginius Island. Species likely to be sighted include orioles, several warbler species, various types of vireos and fly catchers, herons, ducks and raptors.

The trip will be about 3 miles total so please wear sturdy footwear and dress for the prevailing weather conditions. In addition, bring along some drinking water, bug spray and sunscreen.
Binoculars will be provided if needed.

Registration is required and participants will need to sign a waiver of liability prior to heading out on the walk.
