Join the Potomac Valley Master Naturalist Class for this workshop on the Natural History of Birds, their habitats and identifying features.

Local birding expert, Bob Dean is leading this workshop at the National Conservation Training Center in room 111IE from 8:00 - 12 Noon.

Students will gain a basic understanding of how to identify birds in the field by sight and sound, how to select and use binoculars, bird behavior and adaptations and some methods of studying wild birds.

This workshop is open to the public, however preregistration is required. 

Please wear comfortable clothes for both classroom and outside walking. In addition, bring along a photo ID to show upon entrance to NCTC at the guard station.
