Join the Potomac Valley Master Naturalist Class for this workshop on Habitat Improvement. Learn what changes the landowner can make to encourage wildlife to use his/her property, be it a back yard or large acreage. In addition, the instructor will discuss basic requirements for wildlife, why some animals are desirable in the garden and around the home and how to garden for wildlife.

Emily Grafton is leading this workshop at the National Conservation Training Center in room 151 IW
from 8:00 am - 12:00 noon.

Emily Grafton is a biology teacher, botanist, naturalist and environmental educator. She has published nature guides including one on Blackwater Falls State Park.

This workshop is open to the public however registration is required. Please bring along a photo ID as you will need to show this at the guard station upon entering NCTC.

* Registration fees are non-refundable. PVAS reserves the right to cancle the workshop due to unforseen issues. In this case, a full refund will be given.
