Due to unforeseen circumstances, this class has changed from Natural History of Mushrooms to Slime Molds. 

Slime Molds will be taught by Dr. John Landolt. All other details remain the same.

Room change to 218L - this class will be held in the Lab.

Join the Potomac Valley Master Naturalist Class for this workshop on the Natural History of Mushrooms. Explore the structure, classification and ecology of the larger fungi. Learn how to safely collect for eating and how to properly collect for study.

Alan Biggs, is leading this workshop at the National Conservation Training Center in room 151 IW
from 8:00 - 11:00 AM.

Alan Biggs is on faculty at West Virginia Universtiy in the Plant and Soil Science Department; serving at the Kearneysville Tree Fruit Research and Education Center.

This workshop is open to the public however registration is required. Please bring along a photo ID as you will need to show this at the guard station upon entering NCTC.

*Registration fees are non-refundable. PVAS reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen issues. In this case, a full refund will be given.
