PVAS regularly schedules a variety of field trips. Some trips are focused on birding; others involve exploration of sites and facilities of general natural history interest. Anyone who is interested is welcome to participate in any of our trips.
Most trips are to destinations in the Eastern Panhandle area. However, some trips involve longer travel and overnight stays. Some trips require pre-registration.
PVAS rarely charges fees for its field trips but some destinations do charge modest fees of their own. When trips involve overnight stays, participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own lodging. PVAS does not provide transportation for trips but helps facilitate carpooling.
