Nature Photography Workshops

PVAS periodically offers Nature Photography Workshops intended for beginning and intermediate adult photographers who want to sharpen their nature photography skills. These workshops are taught by expert photographers and typically are held weekends, from Friday night through Sunday noon. They cover all aspects of nature photography and focus on 35mm format equipment (film and digital), with classroom and field sessions. Topics of discussion include light, composition, equipment, workflow, and finding suitable images. Enrollment is kept small (no more than 12 persons) to ensure that everyone receives personal attention.

The next workshop will be held April 12-14, 2013 at NCTC.

Registration is required and there is a fee. PVAS typically makes registration forms available on the web site at least two months in advance of the workshop date. For more information, or to request notification when the next workshop is scheduled, contact Ellen Murphy or call 304-676-8739.

The Potomac Valley Nature Photographers meet monthly and often have free mini-workshops at their meetings. If you would like to be alerted regarding the next nature photography workshop, please contact Ellen Murphy.
