Why Attend An Overnight Camp?
PVAS encourages youth ages 11 and older to consider attending an overnight camp. These quality nature camps can be life-changing and provide campers with an in-depth nature experience. PVAS offers assistance to several overnight camps including Junior Nature Camp at Oglebay Resort in Wheeling WV, Burgandy Center for Wildlife Studies in Capon Bridge WV, and the West Virginia Teen Conservation Camp in Ripley WV. In past years, we have sponsored campers to attend the Student Climate and Conservation Congress (SC3) at NCTC, and Family Camp at National Audubon’s Hog Island in Maine! If your child has a real interest in nature and is ready to be away from home for one to two weeks, apply for one of these scholarships. They are literally the chance of a lifetime!
