POSTPONED – Climate Watch Training
Wednesday, April 15, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

This event has been postponed in an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19. Please check our website calendar for a rescheduled date.
Become a part of National Audubon’s community science project, Climate Watch!
According to the National Audubon Society’s 2019 climate report ‘Survival by Degrees,’ two-thirds of North American birds are at increasing risk of extinction from climate change.
Help build a better world for birds by joining Climate Watch to test and improve climate models. You can find more information on Climate Watch at this link, but essentially, the project involves observing birds in your area and reporting your findings in order to generate data on how birds are responding to climate change.
PVAS Land and Conservation Manager, KC, is now a regional coordinator for Climate Watch in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle. She will train you in on the national protocol and teach you everything you need to know to get involved with this outstanding community science effort! The training will be held at Cool Spring Preserve‘s Nature Center (1469 Lloyd Road, Charles Town, WV).
Please be sure to pre-register for this training using the form found below. Birders of all levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. If you have any questions, contact KC at katelyn@potomacaudubon.org or call the Cool Spring office at 681-252-1387.
