This pale purple firework flower is a close relative of the red beebalm that prefers drier soils in full sun to part shade. The blooms, from late June – September, attract butterflies and hummingbirds. It is a mint species and can be aggressive, so plant with other aggressive plants, use to fill large spaces, or plan to divide and move periodically. It has moderate deer resistance. Can be susceptible to mildew.
