Join Friends of Music for a concert by the Two Rivers Chamber Orchestra!

Admission to the concert will be free for Friends of Music members. The ticket price for nonmembers will be $40 per person. Elementary and high school students can attend for free. Tickets for college students are $5 each. Tickets and Friends of Music memberships can be purchased on the Friends’ website at www.friendswv.org or by mail (FOM, PO Box 220, Shepherdstown, WV 25443) or, if space is available, at the door at both performances. Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827) — Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68, Pastoral

This ravishing program, performed in collaboration with Potomac Valley Audubon Society, celebrates nature and especially birds in two works that have enthralled audiences with their beauty, elegance, and depth of expression. Both works portray bird calls, which we will highlight in pre-concert discussions. In Respighi, these impressions are eloquent and shimmery. In Beethoven, they expand to reflect all of creation and its relationship with humanity.
