EcoCraft and Foraging Programs Working Group Meeting

Wednesday, March 25 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Hybrid Event

Are you passionate about nature crafts or foraging? Do you want to share your interests with others and help bring creative, nature-inspired programs to life? We need your help!

PVAS Host: Sonja Melander

Free and open to the public. This program is for adults who are interesting in volunteering to plan, lead, and/or assist with PVAS EcoCraft and Foraging Programs. Pre-registration is not required but is appreciated for planning purposes.

PVMN Volunteer Credit Eligible.

Crafting and foraging programs are some of our most popular offerings! While we have tons of ideas (and maybe you do too!), we need more volunteer support to turn these ideas into reality!

What is “EcoCraft”?
Our working definition is that EcoCrafts are:

  1. Nature-inspired
  2. Low environmental impact

For example, wreaths made out of invasive species are an EcoCraft! Making something from new plastic materials wouldn’t be considered an EcoCraft, but using reused or upcycled materials would.

To bring together this creative energy and foster collaboration between staff and volunteers to bring these programs to life, we will host EcoCraft and Foraging Working Group meetings. The regularity of the meetings will be determined by the group.

If you are interested in being a part of this group but are unable to attend this meeting, please email sonja@potomacaudubon.org.

This is a hybrid meeting, and you may attend either in-person at the Case Nature Center or online over Zoom (click the link below).
