Join Potomac Valley Master Naturalists for an autumn walk in a private meadow near Shepherdstown!

PVAS Host: Potomac Valley Master Naturalists

Free and open to the public. For ages 16 and older. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.

PVMN Continuing Education Credit Eligible

Celebrate the season with a stroll through two acres of restored meadow at the Hennessey residence near Shepherdstown lead by native meadow manager, Rita Hennessey. Rita has provided numerous pollinators and other wildlife species with beautiful expanses of grasses, flowers, and other plants.

• Walking Distance: 1 mile or less
• Pace/Activities: Leisurely (meandering, many breaks to stop and observe)
• Exposure: Very little to no shade.
• Terrain: The trail is mowed and mostly level.
• Restroom:
• Parking/Where to Meet: Participants will meet at the residence (address and parking information will be provided to registered participants) for the tour. Carpooling is on your own and encouraged. Registered participants will be emailed the specific address and driving directions the day prior.
• What to Bring: Dress appropriately for the sun, weather, and temperature.
