Environmental Educator AmeriCorps Service Member
Ellie George is an AmeriCorps member serving as an Environmental Educator with PVAS for the 2022-2023 service year.
Ellie is an avid enthusiast of all things scientific. She graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in English. She spent her summers before college volunteering as a counselor at Tri-County 4-H Camp in Hedgesville. During college, she tutored several STEM subjects, and spent her summers between semesters as an AmeriCorps Summer Associate at Camp MoCo with Starting Points of Morgan County, and as a student researcher at Shepherd University. After graduation, she worked as an intern with the National Conservation Training Center’s library and archives, and a lab assistant at Hagerstown Community College.
Ellie spends her free time reading, crafting, writing music, and exploring nature.
