Fall Flow in the Forest – Yoga at Yankauer Nature Preserve

Sunday, October 5, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join Chrissy Lewin for a special yoga event at Yankauer Nature Preserve!

PVAS Host: Chrissy Lewin

$30/person (PVAS members receive a 10% discount). For ages 14 and older. All youth must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required and limited to 25 participants. This program has a minimum of 6 participants.

Breathe deeply, move mindfully, and give back to nature at our Yoga Fundraiser at Yankauer Nature Preserve. This special event begins with a peaceful hike through the forest, where red cedars give way to oaks. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by the quiet magic of a landscape that shelters over 188 plant species and 109 kinds of birds.

Our walk will lead us back to the pavilion, to a serene, sheltered spot beneath the canopy, where we’ll unroll our mats for an all-levels yoga session designed to help you reconnect with your body and breath. With the forest around you, it’s the perfect setting to center yourself in nature.

Proceeds from this event support the work of the Potomac Valley Audubon Society. Come move, stretch, and give in gratitude—for your health, for the forest, and for the future.

  • Walking Distance: Approximately 1 mile
  • Pace/Activities: Moderate (steady but able to maintain a conversation)
  • Exposure: Forested/dense canopy cover

  • Parking/Where to Meet: Yankauer Nature Preserve has about 20 parking spaces. The group will assemble at the pavilion just a short walk from the parking lot.
