Join Tony, PVAS Facilities Assistant, each Tuesday in September and October to continue working on delineating the Cedar Loop at Yankauer Nature Preserve. This big, big project was started as a part of the United Way Day of Caring on September 10 and now we need to complete it! Most of the timbers have been laid along the trail. Now, we must cut angles, drill holes, and stake the timbers into place. No experience is necessary. We can teach you! There is no commitment to staying the entire time. Come and go when you have time to lend a hand!

About Tony: Tony graduated from Radford University in VA in 1992 with a BS in History. His regular job is as a US Park Ranger (Law Enforcement), which has provided opportunities to work at 11 National Park Service sites throughout the US before settling down at Harpers Ferry National Historical park in 2010. One of the biggest blessings of his life was the 8 years (2016-2024) he spent working for Miss Linda Case at Cool Spring Farm, making for an easy transition into working at PVAS when she sold her home in 2024. Tony and his wife Bethany have two children and live in Charles Town. When he isn’t at work, he keeps busy with their home, his favorite Toyota FJ Cruiser and 4Runner, and the 5th and his favorite season of the year- hunting season!
