We had a special visitor at Cool Spring Preserve in mid-May: Blair Benson, who is in the midst of a “50/50/50” project.
He aims to observe 50 bird species in each of the 50 states over the course of 50 days…quite a feat!
PVAS trip leader and expert birder, Beth Poole, served as Blair’s local guide for the day. They ended up exceeding Blair’s goal and spotted a total of 58 species.
