Celebrate our 40th Birthday and Save the Dates!

Come celebrate PVAS — all we have accomplished and all we continue to do as we strive toward our mission to “preserve, restore and enjoy the natural world through education and action.” There are lots of birthday events coming up and there’s something for everyone!

BioBlitzes!  Join scientists from 9-3 at the preserves we manage as we identify the plants and animals in the habitats that make each preserve special:

July 9 “Tremendous Trees” Eidolon Preserve
July 23 “Pollinator Palooza” Stauffer’s Marsh
August 6 “Wetland Wonders” Cool Spring Preserve
August 20 “Dirt Dwellers” Yankauer Preserve

Monday, July 4, 11am – Independence Day Parade in Shepherdstown, WV.  Don your birthday party hat and hit the town with us!

Sunday, July 10, 10am-2pm – Founder’s Day Open House at Yankauer Preserve

Friday, August 12, 10am – Shenandoah Float Trip, reminiscent of the PVAS trip in 1985

Saturday, August 20  – 40th Anniversary Member Dinner and Birthday Celebration at the Yankauer Preserve (Members Event. Members should watch for an email invitation!)
